Market update on GT2

that in itself shows the market softening when it comes to the 996 bodystyle. less than 2 yrs ago they were selling for 130,000

It's definitely softening on all but the cream puff cars. A GT2 sold recently under $90K with 29k miles with some stories though. I considered it briefly but at that price point I would go for a 7.1GT3 which are starting to soften ever so slightly as well. Yes, different cars but equally attractive...

Yeah. I have seen a lot of variability in the prices. So few that are for sale right now I am starting to rethink which car I want to get. I love the way the 997.2 gt3 DS looks and the feedback on them is fantastic. I am not sure if they will appreciate like the 996 gt2 in the long run. The 993s have done amazingly well. To my eye they have transcended their dated look and now look classic and cool.

You have a link? If you are talking about the Barrett-Jackson Palm Beach one Jan 2015 that was black with the black multi piece wheels I watched that auction live... sold for $82,500 (also I dont think fees are included in that price so+ a bit more) ... thats the one i was referring to in my last post as the last one i had seen under $100k at any of the large auction houses.

The guy I sold my GT2 to last year might be putting it up soon. Feel free PM me if you're interested in a higher mileage 2002 White GT2 (~48k last I saw) but in great condition. I am happy to forward over -- no $ affiliation, would just like to see it go to a good home instead of some some dealer flipper.
