it's probably possible but you won't gain much turn in. A 255/35/19 would be better and could run a 295 rear. Both are at 26.0

Could call it factory specs and proven aftermarket specs.

this wouldn't be overly hard to do but fitment largely depends on suspension and fender mods done to a car. Simply rolling fenders allows you to run much more aggressive offsets and larger tires.

Shoot me a text when you're ready

Yeah, I've got a whole "while Im in there" list that will be happening while things are out for the LSD to go in... I'm gonna need that lawyer's number for sure if I buy wheels

just a side note on 275/335 setup. I talked to forgestar 2 weeks ago because I wanted to get a set of 18s but needed to fit the 380mm brakes. Forgestar said they have a version 2 of the f14 that will be available in starting in late February/early March that they redesigned to clear 380mm brakes easily. Also 13 inch rears are now available.

that's what I'm going to pickup a 10/13 f14s. Most affordable option for me.

Just make sure you don't buy RTF (Race Tech Forged) wheels. Many documented wheel failures across various forums. These guys are scam artists that apparently bought cast Chinese/Taiwanese blanks which they machined on the surface passing them off as forged. Caveat emptor! RTF has been banned here, rennlist, and other forums. I'm only aware of one set that ended up on a white 996TT whose owner may be on this forum.

Ive been following the RTF stuff as well... Just another reason to stick to reputable wheel makers such as BBS, Finspeed, CCW, etc. I don't want to be a guinea pig with something as critical as a wheel.

i also wouldn't again use f14's, and certainly not a first batch of a new iteration of them. caveat emptor, is about right.

I like this setup but I dont think a 295 will fit on a 12 inch rim.

I put 8k miles on a set with no problems. The hub spacers work fine. Your wheels didn't work because you put the wrong shaped bolts in them not because they are terrible wheels.

perhaps, but i didn't find them to be very sturdy either, but at least i blamed the rock i "met"

but thanks for telling me why i didn't "like" them lol. also, as you "know" they are fairly generally known to be sub par in manufacture relative to properly forged wheels. to say nothing of them being not "hub centric" ( in 18's at least ) back when. perhaps that is also changed? but i "get" why they are so popular. cheap, functional and available in custom sizes. if not optimal, they still work and at 375 a pop? you can afford to track rash them with impunity.

but either way, any complaints i *may* have had with them is very 2015 and i've happily moved on to some cheap oz wheels, thanks very much (..and yes, i realize they too are cast )

so NBD.. have at 'em!

I have run 295/35 /18 rears with 235 fronts, .5 inch diameter difference which I measured on stock rims ,,, for 20, 000+ miles and hundreds of dyno tests and many 180 mph sprints, No problems.
I did switch to 245 fronts though, almost identical diameters, for a better look .
I have posted threads in the past years on this.

My concern with smaller fronts is that there is less power being sent to the fronts and I also have 12 inch rear wheels so 295's wont fit and 305's are questionable. No matter though. I am getting things set up so we can get 315/25/19 + 235/35/19 Continental Sportcontact 6 tires from Germany and this problem will be solved.

^^^ I have 12 rears and 9 fronts. I used to run 315/25 but now run 305/30. No issues the 305s rubbed liners a bit but no biggie. If you can stick with 315/25 that's the correct combo for 19s.

Yes, I once changed only two rear tires to new and kept the worn fronts on. The difference became enough to send the car into psm on high speed highway off ramps a few times. Scary. I put on all new and it never happened again. And these were matched sets. Personally, I would never stretch the ratio for fear of this....

Hey Pwdrhound...I am the guy with the white 996tt running these RTF rims. Have had no issues.

Please cite your source and proof around your claim of them passing off cast wheels as forged. Thanks.
