Cobb AccessPort 996TT Review
Modded TTs will peg 5.0v on the MAF sensor as early as 4000 RPM, and while the lambda sensors on each bank will happy take up the slack and keep air-fuel ratios on target, the MAF sensor will eventually fail from this high voltage condition.
I found mafless tuning to be quite straightforward and very effective. Cobb's implementation is not the only mafless option but I think they executed it well... it hasn't gotten in my way or tripped me up (yet!).

100 oct isn't readily available near me.. I don't drive the car super often otherwise I'd do the same. So 100 oct is a noticeable jump from the spicy tune?
I'm going to be using a product the GTR guys and a couple of other friends run Torco accelerator "race gas concentrate". Tested and proven to actually raise pump gas to almost race gas levels. Hopefully works as good for me as it does for those guys. If not I'll have to start buying drums of 100 oct

Hahah yes exactly. Perfect excuse!
***Also, need to give another shout out to Sam for his stellar service. I sent a text to him yesterday and told him it isn't a huge issue so to take care of others first, but he replied almost immediately and helped me sort out a fueling issue. I was getting bogging/stutter when my fuel pump controller was bringing the pump up to full speed from the reduced output/cruising setting. I was on the right track and he confirmed it, but then gave me an even better idea of how to set it than I was thinking. An asset to our community for sure
Thank you.

I was thinking to fill the front trunk with jugs and bring it home to have a supply for a while
2nd,3rd and 4th about good ole Sam. He is top notch. While I don't have the technical know that others have I do know that I'm very satisfied with the mafless tune he programmed for me. The car just screams (that's as technical as I get)
As for the service I don't know how he does it. There must be like 4 of him answering everybody's questions. I have emailed him at 11pm on Friday night and seems like before I press send he's already responded

. I have never talked with him personally but the suggestions and help he's given me, nearly instantaneously, via email is mind boggling. I also know that if I really needed to speak with him he'd be there.
I can't say enough about how he talked a very conservative "tooth driller" into a mafless decatted Kline. I had my reservations but whenever I stomp on the pedal I get a big grin!!!
Sambo will definitely be my 1st choice when it comes to any type off modification that I might want in the future!!!
Sambo----I'm 4 days away from a possible 2004 x50. We can have some fun with that.
Thanks for all your help and all you do. Not just me but the countless people that you've made grin from ear to ear when they stomp!!!
Sincerely,
A very satisfied customer!!!

1. Start by installing the o2 sensors being careful not to get antiseize on the tip (ask me how I know).
2. Loose fit the decatt
Then strap the xpipe up which is not to difficult. I used a floor jack and a crossmember I bought at harbor freight for 20 dollars. You can see it under the stock exhaust photo when i removed it. Bolt goes in the top and then you can loose fit that also.
3. xpipe lifted with the jack apparatus. Loose fit the xpipe to the decatt.
4. Tighten up everything remove your airbox and fish the o2 sensor wires up and reconnect.
5. Buy accessport from sambo if you haven't already have him do mafless tune
6. Retune and go for a test drive. Hold on and enjoy the ride

7 get back home take take off wheels go to Home Depot and make your turbo pressure leak tester
8 probably find some leaks. Ziptie what you can till it's button up
9. Put all back together. Get on freeway ramp. Stomp on pedal and boost to 1.0-1.1 and watch out for cops

10. Pm me if you have any questions.
Thanks
