Filters on turbos

I'm about 600 miles on mine and everything looks like new. However, if the shields are something you want to market and sell, count me in for a set.

I have ran in rain with the socks on and poured water on the sock and the filter was still dry. You don't need splash guards.

Splash guard protects against water but the biggest reason for it it to prevents rocks from getting thrown up and damaging the filters. Something very simple to make but probably only work with the filters I use.

My car doesn't see rain and only goes out on sunny days but I agree. You can't be too safe with road debris

I have had them on for a year no damage at all. You don't want to limit the air that gets to the filter. Whatever works hehe.

well I drive one roads that are probably a lot worse than you. It won't limit flow any. I also run a larger filter than most. 4.5×6.5 inch filters.

That's good I have the size that fits for our cars at home. Anything bigger will hit the suspension.

Do you mafless guys experience fuel issues at altitude? I don't know how mafless fuel programing is accomplished. Without "O2-in" information how is the fuel calculation (or look up table) accurate?

But I think if I went to sea level, I would need to retune to be safe.

Personally, I'll probably be placing my filters above intercoolers with DIY, so if I go that route, I'll definitely post details and what parts are needed.
