The Ohlins are awesome, and even cheaper for GT2/3
Love my R&T's

They are about 3500.00 so frankly it's a bargain for that level of dampening.
I think they have dropped in price since last year. I just ordered a set for $2875 shipped for my Turbo. The main reason I went with PSS10 last year was due to Ohlins being $1,000 more expensive, not the case any longer it seems.

Excited to get them installed. I will report back in this thread with my thoughts on comfort.

This is pretty much correct. H&R Street Coilovers will be slightly firmer than stock (better control and composure vs stock) but yes a bit firmer. I have the spring specs somewhere and they are very close to GT2 specs.

The H&R spring + stock damper combo is very smooth and nice and low, not a track setup by any means but still works well/competent on the street.

I would have to agree that the stock ride quality was awful. Good quality coilovers will allow you to lower the car AND have a better ride. I went with KW V1. No messing around with settings; set ride height and enjoy.

You'd be surprised, but a decent coilover setup will drastically improve ride quality and comfort (plus you get the handling benefit).

For your needs a PSS9 or PSS10 setup would be perfect, without breaking the bank

It sounds like your car being over 15 years old might have suspension rubber bushings worn out(upper shock tower comes to mind), I would recommend a Diagnosis service at Zakiras garage in Cincinnati so I can really see what is going on. Please feel free to call us at 513-272-2229 with any questions or concerns you may have-we are glad to help.

Peter, thanks for the reply and great to connect! You're correct - it had a bad bushing in the front right which was definitely contributing. The overall suspension on these cars is obviously quite stiff, in general, and it has taken some getting used to. Boy has technology come a long way. I just drove a 991 GT3 a few weeks ago and that had a far smoother ride! Will definitely keep Zakiras in mind for future service needs. THx again.
