Check my sig for my decision. If you need an SUV, go cayenne, if you don't, then E55 all the way.

jcramair1 How can you say the E55 is not a good deal? It is a phenominal deal! Who else can make a fine looking 500hp super sled? OInly the RS6 comes close and I think the E55 is way better looking and slightly better driving - with no stinking lag!

My thoughts on the Cayenne S..

I like it but think I would just get the VW Toureg, loaded to the gills, instead of an S.

Sorry about that Color, I meant in regards to all year use. I know performance wise the E55 is a great deal in comparison to it's competition i.e. RS6, M5. But I am looking at it from my perspective living in the North East.

jcramair1 OK, I plan on putting 4 snows on both the turbo and the E55. Not sure wich I will drive in the snow, but probably the turbo to practice catching slides (PSM off of course).

While many say the VW is better value than the S and has been discussed "Ad Nauseum"...It in now way handles or performs anything like an S..After all the S is a Porsche and the VW is not...The price of a V8 VW loaded is very close to the standard S and it eats the VW for lunch. I own an S and have driven the cheaper VW....Just my 2 cent's

I am not interested in either vehicle I am quite happy with the My LX470 for this N.E. weather. But if I were in a position to buy either vehicle I would choose the Cayenne..

My thoughts exactly!

Really, though, it comes down to the utility factor and what you intend to use it for. The E55 probably has more capacity with the seats up, but I'd have a hard time putting a dog on the backseat of an E55. For what I do for work, a truck is more practical and useful. Plus, I don't mind getting it a muddied up! Whereas, I'd feel like I was wrecking an E55 doing the same things.

I agree with you 100% ESK....I would feel like crap driving the E55 with mud on it, whereas the Cayenne I wouldn't feel to bad.

what my problem is is that if I had a 100K+ Cayenne as a Second car I would need a third car as I would feel bad abusing a hundred thousand dollar truck!!

I felt kind of stupid at the time writing that. After all, I did pay $92K for the Cayenne TT. But, for some reason, I still perceive it as a "truck" whereas I consider cars like the E55 to be fancy sedans!
