E55 or Turbo Cayenne?

E55 or Turbo Cayenne?
OK,
I drove a TT Cayenne and really liked it.
I have yet to drive an e55.
Granted these are pretty different vehicles but the price is similar when the options are added.
I think the Porsche would be more practical but the e55 is sure tempting.
Any opinions?

I thought the S would be a good value too but once you load in the options that you get with the stock TT Cayenne, the turbo almost seems like a better deal.
The S ends up in the mid 70, close to 80 grand range.

I would get the E55. Prices are not really that similar. A almost loaded E55 is $82-83k. Do the same to the Cayenne TT and you are upwards of $95k. I have driven both, I much prefer the looks and feel of the E55. My friend just bought one, it is scary fast for a 4 door sedan that weighs 4000+lbs. I felt it was much quicker than the Cayenne Turbo and I like the looks better.
If you are worried about resale, the thing to do is stay away from the options, buy a Cayenne S for $61k at the most. I was offered $7500 off list of a $61k Cayenne. $53,500 for a cayenne is only $1500 more than what the current 2004's with low miles wholesale for. You want minimal loss, that is the way to go. The Cayenne is still plenty capable and has everything you need even at the $61k price point.

I chose the Cayenee over the E55 because I go skiing, have dogs, and wanted an SUV with power. The E55 is Awesome but it didn't make sense for me to have my TT and E55. With the Cayenee I will have a crusier with power and handling of a car. So for the same price you will get more functionality out of the cayenne.

As far as utility, Cayenne would obviously win out. However, the E55 has a very large trunk and usable back seat. Do not worry about the snow, simply get 245/45/18 snow tires, use them on all wheels adn you will go through everything. I had this set-up on my M5, saw many front drivers lose it, I never worried and went through everything with the snows. You can raise the E55 pretty high with its air suspension as well, so acting as a plow is not a worry.
