Asking all locals: Nurburgring, Spa & German street regulation for cars
Hi guys,
I am going to participate to a great event organized by another member here on 6speed, my question is if I am allowed to run my car with straight pipes and external waste-gates (very loud under acceleration), perhaps way over 98dB limits I heard of, or whatever they are.
I am going to trail the car till Stuttgart, but wanted to get it off there and drive till the Ring, then to Spa and then put it back on the trailer.
Car is also wider, has other rim/tire specs, etc etc... nothing like the original car, even has only 6pot & no airbags, half cage etc.., if not allowed to drive it on Autobahn might be ok, but what do you know about Nring and SPA regulation? I assume lots of straight pipe 911s should be there, and shouldn't worry to much, but I have seen stipulated at SPA - 98dB for our event, how is that measured? should I worry? I dont want to go for 2000km on the trailer and then not be able to run the car
Nring going for like 5hours on a track day/turist day or so.
Spa guess is only our private event/rental
Autobahn on top would be great.. like 30 cars going to participate
My car is almost ready, but not really tested and dont have too much time left to perform all task/tests to be sure my car is 100%, so maybe you know what rules are in place if anything goes wrong with a car, I might ned some tips.. is any kind of insurance, anything I need to know before the event regarding these tracks?
My other option is to drive a JB4 428i or even go and rent another car from the track, still debating what to do

Mods as such not an issue, but if it's a very loud car you will end up most likely in trouble (PM me if you still going, I'll have some advice on that)
All in all I would do the trip only if the car's properly tested. At least think of a place where to get it towed if it breaks down (I'll have contacts for you, PM me if needed). The Ring especially is very demanding track for car.
EDIT: I would want to join you guys but not sure if engine's ready then....
