Clutch chatter

Installed a new flywheel and a sachs 890nm kit (without springs) and now getting clutch chatter.. Not bad cold, but really enoying parking it when hot, especially in reverse. Got approx 70 miles after installation now

Anyone with good suggestions?

Got a new master, new gear mounts and new rss engine mounts..

Can it be the accumulator?
Can an accumulator with worn internals fail to absorb the pulsations of the hydraulic pump/assist? So in that case cause the chatter?

Reservoir front an back are at stabil levels..

i run sachs oem parts with a gt2 unsprung disc and no chatter. make sure the parts are all compatible with a new dmfw cos it sure isn't the accumulator.

What exactly do you mean by clutch chatter? Perhaps you are hearing harmonics from the engine because you have a SMLWFW? If that's the case, then it is what it is it is the nature of the beast (but worth it imo). This would NOT be an accumulator issue. Does it go away w/ clutch pedal depressed? If so then it is exactly what I stated.

Oh - and don't forget to log about 500 miles on your setup before hammering it....need to break everything in.

I had a "pro Porsche race shop" at my local track install my freshly rebuilt clutch and trans and they didn't put the whole assembly on one side not even the race that the bearing rest in. Had terrible chatter especially in reverse. They tried to blame it on my light fly wheel. The throw out bearing ended up pulling though the pressure plate stranding me.

Using higher RPM when engaging will allow you to smooth it out. I have an un-sprung clutch as well. Chatter will reduce a little over time. (providing none of this is an install issue)
