I've had the AWE for over a year now and really like it. Not very loud until you get on it, no drone, very nice quality.
Very happy with the AWE exhaust n product support ., not too long ago got the infamous CEL light n found the cats were the culprit.Call AWE n was told to send it back.AWE replace the cats n eversince it has been problem free.
Willcoxmd,
Like you, I couldn't find the exhaust that was just right, but of course everyone has a different opinion of what is "just right."
Listen to every exhaust you can to see what sound you like best.
If you want performance, you need 100 cell cats (to stay legal) and generally the larger the tubing the better the flow and less back pressure you will have. Also, two separate exhausts like the picture Craig is showing in this thread is best for performance. But you generally get more resonance with a set up like his, if you care about that.
I know you listened to the sound clip I posted under "Sportec Exhaust Video" on page two of this forum. I think this exhaust provides the best compromise of performance, exhaust note and resonance of any exhaust out there. I got to drive the car in stop and go traffic as well as freeway speeds this past weekend and I can say that there is no resonance at all.
I love the higher pitched F1 type sound when you get on it and the lack of drone in the 2000-3500 rpm range. If you can find a good price on the Sportec exhaust, I think you will love it.
Then again, this is my opinion and it is your opinion that counts here.

ARI, where did you get the Remus, I can't seem to find an outlet for them? and their web page does not list a TT pipe. I have a modified stock exhaust that drones badly at low rpm and makes a whooshing sound when hammering it. I am not happy.
