996 turbo parts pricing??

Is anyone else noticing a trend of 996 turbo parts being more than 997 turbo parts?? Seems like anything 996 turbo specific not shared on the 997 is steadily going up as the 997 parts either go down or stay the same. Not all parts.

thats why we need to buy 997 parts that match our 996 agree...it's just crazy.

I'm thinking this is due to age of vehicles for 996. Last one made was 2005, therefore 2005 + 10 years == 2015. I think it used to be 7 years they had to make parts for, but they generally seem to follow a 10 year rule (from my observations).

They are likely not making parts from an OE replacement standpoint anymore, read up on Magnuson–Moss Warranty Act.
