If you have adequate records, you may be able to recover high retail blue book plus sales tax. Something you could never achieve in the open market. I bought a barely used M-3 that some loon in a truck t-bone totaled a month after I got it. The insurance company give me enough to buy new fully loaded new M3. I had a two year old AMG 55 that somebody rear ended at 35. When all was said and done I had enough insurance proceeds to buy a used C63.

 

I ended up getting an extremely fair offer after going back and forth a few times.

Had to find exact comparables of similar mileage and exact year.

Sort of off topic but are you going to team up with some other home owners in your area and combine your home's rebuild along with other owners with one contractor to help expedite the permit process and the rebuild process?

I read where in some locations cities are looking to "re-imagine" the neighborhoods which can only mean delays and cost increases. But I read where neighbors are banding together to push their rebuilding through quicker.
