Many 02 and 03 cars are just coming off lease and are great deals. There are numerous choices under 20K miles. Many are still covered under the factory warranty. If you don't plan on putting a ridiculous abmount of miles, you can buy an aftermarket EZCARE (backed by Ford) bumper to bumper warranty that wil cover you for 11 years and a total of 70,000 miles (from the time the car was first registered) with $100 deductible for under $3,000.

I am very close to picking one up. It's cheap insurance even for a modded car, and will be good selling point down the road.
