996TT exhaust

Any relatively inexpensive way to increase volume of the exhaust. Make it nastier in other words?

Thanks for the reply Chuck. Looks like the Gundo hack cannot be done on turbos.

You can do the dreaded drilling job. But it usually only lasts a few days for most and they realize it was not the way to go. Plus the factory exhausts are work a pretty penny now. Feel free to reach out. I would recommend finding a deal on a proper new or used exhaust and do it right/once.

Sam is right. A used aftermarket system is the best bet for your goal. If you are interested in that route, feel free to contact us, I can probably help you out.

Thanks very much for the prompt replies. Looks like I'm just going to have to might the fiscal bullet and do it right as opposed to a cheap hack. Not about to merely drill a hole in the pipe.

unless you opt for the grab bag of a used exhaust? talk to sam about a kline 200 cel. that will be the most cost effective performance and sound exhaust upgrade, that won''t include any unwanted surprises. if you're lucky enough wherever you run to be able to run decattted? get the decat pipes with it. even mo betta, performance and sound.

Put a 3” pipe on the back of the turbo and aim it away from the car that’s my plan. I already have a b&b 3” Exhaust with 100 cel cats but it’s not going to flow enough shortly. Good luck

I have heard the exhaust of a tt with the drilled hole method, and it sounds just fine. There is not much difference between this and the "gundo" hack on the n/a exhaust. There is a lengthy and in depth review of the process over on the rennlist turbo site that goes into great detail.

I agree. Happy x-pipe owner here. If I had it to do over again, I would totally buy a used one in decent shape.

My thoughts have always been, if you can't afford to do it right, leave it alone.
