Yea i know, i drove my M3 stripped with roll cage and slammed on the street, it still wasnt stiff enough! The Porsche on ROW is extremely soft to me, i also want something that will be really good on track, so the 7/10kg setup is more of a street/track combo over the pss9's correct? No need to go stiffer?

8/12kg is their "recommended" setting for street/track.

Think of the 7/10kg as being more street, but some track.

The 8/12kg as being an even combo of street and track.

Finally, the 10/14kg combo as being less street and more track.

Ground Control are much better for the M3. Cross are very simlilar to Ground Control for 996TT IMO.

Ahhh so here's the info ive been looking for.. Ok Ground Control i know is INSANE for the M3, so if this JIC Cross suspension can compare to that then this is def. for me! Im getting it, so should i just buy the 8/12kg setup, or get his and upgrade to the different springs, or what is it that set's the two of them apart??

Ruiner and Vince, thanks so much guys

Martin

Exactly, did you take a ride in my M3? I think partly it was the seats with all of that cushioning, but for a real stiff, track setup suspension sitting on pillows sometimes wont help

Anyway yea i think you know exactly what i want, and will take your advice

Daniel detailed the car so he didn't want me to drive it in the rain. I will give it a spin when the rain stop. It looks better than his other CSL M3 SC on his site.

I have PSS9's and were I able to do it over again, I would get the JIC. It is a superior product.

I just purchased an '02 996tt in September and am putting the JIC's on. I have owned many track cars in the past and have used Bilsteins, KW, H&R, Moton, Apexi, HKS, and JIC. IMHO, the JIC/Cross with the 8kg/12kg is the perfect combination for a serious enthusiast who wants optimal handling for the street/canyons and will occasionally track the car. Call JIC and speak to John, he has a 996TT and he'll give you the full scoop on which spring rate is best for your needs. I'll also be running these with 19" Kinesis F110's, so the ride is definitely not too harsh for the street with the 8/12 springs.

Ok, you seem to have described exactly what i want out my car, the suspension, feel and handling. JIC is def. the move, and im almost 100% positive the 8/12kg springs are what i will be getting, thanks guys

Your next challenge is to get some curved front drop links so you can use the GT3 adjusable sway bars. I bought a used set made by ScarGO. Racers group used to make them. They were out of stock when I was ready to buy.

I believe GT3 bars are the way to go. Try calling racers group to see if they are selling the curved front drop links again.
