Cross Suspension? Anyone know it?

I'm looking into suspension upgrades and know everyone seems to like the PSS9's. My local Evo dealer has suggested a Cross Suspension kit instead.
Anyone have any experience?

thanks

Cross? As in JIC Cross Competition?

I, as well as many on this site, are running the JICs.

I love mine. I picked the 7kg/10kg setup and it drives like a dream.

Yes, thank you Ruiner. My tu ner prefers the JIC Cross suspension. He tells me they are adjustable, etc, etc. They sound sweet, but just really don't know much about suspension. The last time I looked into it was for my '95 Mustang GT and put on Eibach's. What about cost? Are they about the same?

thanks

Not sure in the U.S but I think they are about the same price as PSS9's if not cheaper, they are IMO better.

Thanks for the compliment I do have JIC's (Cross) on my car, I did have PSS9's for a while and changed them as my car is low and with the PSS9's we couldn't get it corner balanced 100%, plus I did have some bump issues with PSS9's.

As Joe said go with the 7/10kg spring rates, my car is very driveable on the road with these springs.

I have the JIC/Cross - medium springs, set at 3/4+ to the firm side. Car rides much smoother than the ROW springs I had on prior. IMO soft springs are not required.

Smile JIC Suspension for sale

Willcoxmd,

I have a set of slightly used JIC Magic Cross suspension for sale.

They are the Soft setup, adjusted to the latest settings by JIC.

I had them on my 2004 TT Cab.
I believe they will work on any 996 model 2001-2004.

They have about low miles and no problems.

I changed to PSS-9s.

Here is my (limited opinion):

Positives:
JICs handle better on the Track OR hard corning on the streets.
JICs can be lowered further than PSS-9s.
JIC has more levels of adjustment (15).

Downside:
Slightly rougher ride on bad streets than PSS-9s.

The reason I changed is that the potholes in Hollywood, CA were simply too rough (on me). Plus I didn't go to the track often enough to justify the rougher ride.

If you (or anyone else) is interested in these, send me a PM.

Thanks,
Merek

Merek im extremely interested in your suspension you have for sale, but you said you have the "soft" version? Im looking for the most all out, tracky/race like ride.. I had my M3 setup for straight up track and had PSS9's, realized they were too soft for my liking although they handled well, they just werent confident for me, what do you recommend?

As I know now, they come in 3 different spring rates. If you are going to mainly track your car, then the 10kg/14kg might be your best setup. You can always call up Ben at JIC USA and you might be able to get a custom setup as well.

I have the 7/10kg setup and it is a good bit more stiff than stock; you can definitely feel the difference. However, if you want a true track suspension, you will want to go even harder, that's all. Remember, though, if you drive on the street with ANY harsh suspension, you WILL feel it.
