The Rematch: Alex's 996TT vs. Darius' TT Viper (previously owned by Gary Javo)

From the sound of that Viper quote they are hedging their bets already. An F1 car will walk on a NASCAR even though the engine is bigger in the NASCAR.
I don't buy the lose/lose BS. If you think your car is fast then prove it. If you lose be a man about it and congratulate the winner. Don't try to make excuses about the reason you lost or the fact that they have nothing to lose because the engine is smaller. It sounds like the 911 has more dollars poured into it so he could be saying the same thing from a different angle.

I read the ViperAlley posts and what gets me is that they want to run the race where the Viper is in its sweet spot (75 mph+ roll on), they say its not fair to run from a dig or 30mph because the Porsche has AWD. WTF? If the Viper has a better top end (according to them) an the Porsche a better bottom end, then just run from a dig to 150 mph, then both cars will hit thier respective sweet spots and it will be a fair race. Doesn't that make the most sense?!?!
they should do 3 runs... 30 mph, 75 mph, and 100 mph...

Hey Buddy, soon my friend. The 997TT or the Gallardo. Depends if I find a place in SF with 2 parking spots ;-)

WTF is that. If your car can't get traction below 100MPH, seems like a specialized bullsht car.

WOW....That was fun...
First, I want thank Craig for posting 'up to the minute' status on last night's racing(Larry King would be envious), as well as mending the relationships with the viperalley forum guys. Thanks Craig !
As for the racing, the only two good runs that I had where against the LS1 nitrous fed RX-7. I spoke to Mike (owner) this morning and he said that it would be "OK" to post the races. So Chris Chow (Spielberg's protege) is editing as we speak. The RX-7 is a phenomenal car, he is unequivocally a heavy street racing hitter (10's at 143MPH). As for Darius and I, we could not get a clean run. That VIPER has some serious traction issues!! I was limited to 1.5bar given the weather conditions. We decided to meet again when he gets back from florida (this time he will have BFG Drag Radial on the Viper) and race from a 40mph roll-on.
Thanks for your support!
