GT3 Seats again, questions...

Hi Guys, sorry, but I just want to confirm as I have a set of these puppies lined up!

There is an issue with space for any passengers getting in the back if I have these seats installed. I was on the phone to Recaro and they mentioned there is a kit (bloody expensive kit at that £150 sterling per seat) that should be ok to bring the seat forward, how much space achieved is another question! They said it should be sufficient space to get in otherwise your car would fail an MOT (in the UK) I just want to know the following.

1: How much space achieved once the seat is brought forward?
2: Is there any other dealer/aftermarket kits that would bring the seat slightly forward a few inches more? / what do you guys have?

Thanks

Steven

Since i don't have a back seat, and I'm the only one who drives my car, it doesn't matter.
Seriously, though, a child could probably squeeze through if the seats are all the way forward.

A child is right, and ALL that will fit behind.. I dont think they have tracks that could bring it up farther either, gt3 seats all the way up is like almost at the dash!

Once you have the GT3 seats in there, I would pretty much forget about any room for passengers in the rear. They would only add more weight anyway

I have the GT3 seats and you will not want to put ANYONE in the Back.

It's too dangerous! If you are in an accident and passengers need to get out asap (fire, etc.), that would pose a serious problem (possibly fatal).

My wife is only around 100 lbs and it's a major PITA for her to get in the back.

DONT GET THE SEATS IF YOU WILL NEED THE REAR SEATS FOR PASSENGERS

I concur. How did you get your wife to even try this?...I can't get mine to even sit in the front seats (OK by me). These seats do really make the car feel like a sports car...like you are putting the car on!

With the GT3 seats, consider the rear seats deleted !!

Besides, i dont like passengers cause all they do is scream (let me out, let me out !!)

Seriously, I am getting GT3 seats installed and there is no way the rear seats are even accesible ;so off they go.

Steve,

I just installed a set of GT3 seats into my car. They are extremely supportive but I felt the upright position a bit uncomfortable. I just installed the Brey-Krause replacement brackets which dropped the seat height and added a bit of recline. Made a world of difference for me.

Best,
Pete

Only thing I had to complain about my GT3 seats was that I couldn't get my gangsta lean on anymore

LOL.. i dont know about the GT3 seats, but the pole positions had a tilt so you can tilt the whole bucket for somewhat of a lean, even upright you sunk in
