Bye Bye PSS9s...
Bye Bye PSS9s...
And hello Motons.. We've been doing a few of these "upgrades" lately and I think we're going to start our own Moton "club". I have to say with the aggressive spring rates these things are something else. I was with the owner following behind his car whilst it was on a test drive and just seeing it corner was pretty amazing. We set the shocks up pretty neutral until the alignment but it was taking corners at speeds that PSS9s' would obviously be struggling...
PS Those PSS9s are taken btw

The kit we use is the EVO one and it comes with camber plates that allow for an extra 1 degree of negative camber in the front...

Don't get me wrong guys the PSS9 kit is still an awesome set up for street 996TT's but I think that the spring rate is a tad low for those that want to track their cars regularily. Don't forget these cars are darned heavy...

Question about the two. It seems on the Motons, the smaller set of springs are on top, whereas the PSS9's the smaller set is below the big springs. Is there any difference to why they do this? Just inquiring. Thanks

The big springs are called the "main" springs. These do the real work.
IIRC, there is no difference in performance of the two configurations, just differing setups by each manufacturer and I'm not sure if this configuration is the same between different vehicles by the same manufacturer.

Gone is the bouncing effect (pogoing) of the front. The high spring rates are not harsh at all! Still need more seat time ofcourse and tweak the settings a bit more to truly appreciate them. But from the initial ride the difference is night and day and already am a very happy customer.
Thanks to the guys at Sharkwerks for the great setup!
Also, want to give thanks to Mike at AWE for sharing his thoughts and setup recommendations as well.

I think for you because of what you're used to with ground control and the way you drive you'll be so much happier:PPS See ya' tonight!
