I would hope that the European folks might be interested in
demonstrating what they can deliver for the American market,
but maybe they want to focus on their own market. Any gas
would be OK, as long as it was clearly revealed.

Porsche Babe,

I don't know how hard it would be to test fuels? That may be an option. If all cars were to arrive close to empty, locking gas caps could be provided with keys in the hands of an event official and all fuel provided by the event at a place such as Infineon. We are open to suggestions.

Joe that is also an excellent idea. That way the consumer can make their own educated decision.

We were also thinking of a pre tune up day prior to all events after which time no modifications would be allowed that would require opening the hood or changing to different type tires. The tires should also be required to be DOT street legal. The cars should be in something like a lock down area after each event. If someone had something like an adaptive boost controller or switcher which changes the program or boost from within the car, such modification should be required to be declared.

Should entries be limited to one per tuner?

I wouldn't care about adaptors... As long as we require the
cars to fill up from the official pumps (and I mean take on
a full fuel load), and don't let them drain it and put in
nitro overnight, we're fine. They should reveal if they
would run the dyno with program 4 and the lap/street
tests with program 1, as long as it's the same gas.

If you do the shootout by classification , maybe one car per tuner per class. This gives the tuner the ablilty to show the different tuning programs they offer.

sharkster/Porsche Babe,

The reason for this form is to obtain input. A maximum of two would be OK if they are different type setups. What did you have in mind as "different type setups" or "different kinds of cars?" Or how would you propose to differenciate classifactions?

Well something I noticed at this this one was this:

Out of nine cars, 7 were 6 speed coupes.
Two were "different" as such. One being my tip and the other one being the by design drop top.

So perhaps giving tuners the option of brining two cars to it. Kinda like a number 1 and a number 2?

Sharkster - after reviewing the results the tip performed very well as did the cab. I don't think that should be a classification. Both cars hung with the crowd. If this is a "tuner shootout that no classifications - bring the baddest TT you have, but if it is open to all then the classifications should be done. A 996TT with an exhaust and remapped ECU should be in the 512 HP range and should not compete with a stage 5.
Just my thoughts....: )

I agree with Joe. I really don't care what the Euro tuners have to offer in Europe since I'm not there. If this were a shoot out in Europe then it should be the other way around. Since it is here they should tune like they were selling it in the US. Otherwise it would seem that they either have an advantage of better gas or are in a class that would have no meaning other than curiousity to me.
