Is the stock alarm any good?

I read the owners manual and it sounds like it is pretty good but does any one have experience with it being triggered? I am always curious to see if the car has been disturbed while im away and my old car with an alpine alarm would let you know. Does the factory alarm just use the horn? Is it very sensitive? Does it trigger when bumped?

I don't think there is any kind of motion sensor in terms of someone bumping it. I know there is an interior motion sensor (2 black circles)where the sunroof and interior lights are. Basically if your window is down, and you stick your arm it, it will sound the alarm.

Thats what I was afraid of. I used to keep my old alpine alarm set very sensitively so if any one leaned on it, it would trigger. Now Im going to be even more strssed when leaving it unattended
