Confirmation of correct spacer size

I have a simple question that I'm getting conflicting responses to.

My 996 Turbo has the stock hollow-spoke twists with stock tire sizing, but I plan to go to 235/40 & 315/30 when the current tires wear out. Even though the GT2 has 0.5" wider front and 1" wider rear wheels, I've been told using the GT2 sizing is no problem on these wheels.

So with that being said, do I want 7mm front and 15mm rear spacers OR 15mm spacers all-around? I've been told yes for both, which obviously doesn't make sense. I've also had a couple say to go 12mm all-around? My goal is to bring the wheels out to be flush, but my concern is with the wider tires rubbing on the fenders on heavy compression. I'm on stock suspension now as well, but will be putting on Ohlins in the future and lowering the car slightly so I'd like to not buy spacers twice.

TL;DR Stock wheels with 225/40 & 295/30 tires for now, going to 235/40 & 315/30 eventually. 7mm front & 15mm rear spacers OR 15mm spacers all 4 corners?

Thanks!

I am going through the same path as you are but after putting ohlins on my car, i decided to wait on the spacers because camber settings will also help the rubbing.

Just ordered H&R 7/18 for my stock wheels. Will post pics after I get my Michelins mounted next weekend. How are those ohlins? Was gonna consider them as my next mod... I dont want it lower. Just the ability to corner-balance and hoping for decent damping / ride quality...

I haven't had time to bring the car to alignment shop yet. I will respond with my 2 cents once its dialed in. I did have friends mention to me Road and track is a good daily / weekend fun suspension in general. R&T does provide us with recommended height & dampening settings to start.

@ hotrodguy i had my tech lower it to about 1 finger gap on all sides for now. ( the Ohlins recommendation was still too high for me )

Hey bud

Gt2 fitment allegrita hlt 235 315 azenis 615k+
Pushes my wheel 15mm front and 10mm out back
What you have to worry about is inner rear fender rub. Im close but i dont rub with stock suspension.
Correct offset is key. If you go with 235 315 you will need 10/15mm spacers to be flush front and rear.

10mm spacers rear if you dont want to roll.
