I would have show my wife those spectacular pics you posted of the lake and sell it to her from there.
I took a solo journey sailing from Seattle to the most norhtern part of Alaska 2 years ago. I took almost a month to do so. In the end it was a life changing experience. "What a country."

Have you made you Lake Powell arrangemnents? The northwest is spectacular, but cruising up the Grand Canyon is like nothing else on earth. A view from the top headed up lake:

wow, you actually wash the car yourself on a roadtrip? it's hard to find a full service handwash place sometimes.

Anyone have some pics on the road they'd attach?
I'd like to see a section on this forum dedicated to the road. THAT POSSIBLE ADMINS??
We all love the road, whether it be long or short. It's the other half of what makes our passion for these cars so strong.

I suppose I could play along, although I have nowhere near that many pics ... at least not digital ... and usually the car sucks because I'm an idiot who flies in and rents a piece of crap.
I do have more "to-do" than "done" plans. Route 66, the Transcanadian all the way beyond Happy Valley-Goose Bay when the road's done (in a year or 2), would love to do the Panamericana all the way from AK to Tierra Del Fuego (but will settle for AK to Mexico ), Tasmania, Route Napoleon ... it just never ends.

For now, a couple pics on the way to Fermont, had almost as much fun as the mosquitoes. Last pic you get a glance of the Manic5 dam ... supposedly the largest arch and buttress dam in the world. Like someone cares.

Canyonlands, Moab

Not a road trip per se ... still looks fun, doesn't it?
