I found the tabs knocked off in the boxes, so probably happened in shipping. Very little protection and went across the entire country on ground. They are shipping out next day air even b4 I send back the busted ones. That's cool. Such a pain, but they have good customer service, thank God. I'm seeing BREMI as the very best for the BMW group, even over Bosch, so I hope they last. Take same bolt size, but thicker in the mid area like BERU. I hear that If they are just snug, but not tight, that helps prevent cracking due to expansion.

Just for reference I had bought 6 of the coils from ECS and each of them were in their own boxes with bubble wrap and none were damaged. Also all 6 were matching and I had no problem with install on any cylinder for a 2001 turbo.

Sorry for your troubles, but I hope it was just a one-off incident.

No bubble wrap on these. Looks damaged in shipping. They are getting new ones out quickly. Hope they aren't broken. Thx.

Question Dońt remove bumper????

I´ve got the misfire on #4 cyl light on. Was going to do plugs and coils and was ready to start pulling bumper when I read a post that says no need to remove bumper??? Is that correct? That would be marvellous cause Iḿ old without help. Thanks for any comments. Mike

you'll be rewarded for having removed the bumper and i/c housing(s) so your access to the plugs and coils will be unimpeded. it's plastic - not heavy.

New vs old

New is longer and “thicker”

Longer bolt’s indicative of the longer coilpack

4-5-6

Better access.
