Standalone ECU and TCU with 996TT Tiptronic

Just doing some thinking about upgrading the OEM ECU and TCU at some point to get more safety features and be able to tune the variocam and make the transmission shift faster and hold more power.

My car is a Tiptronic and as you know it uses the 722.6 Mercedes transmission also called the NAG1. There are several aftermarket controllers for the transmission in the aftermarket world which makes the transmission shift almost as fast as a PDK and you can control the line pressures etc. So with below combo I would think it would make for a very fun setup with around 800hp.

Here's the setup I was thinking:
ECU: https://www.maxxecu.com/products/pluginecu/porsche_996
TCU: https://ofgear.dk/

Any thoughts and has anyone done a combo like this before?

I have used the MaxxEcu in my Supra I had before the 996. It's a great ECU, I highly recommend it. The tuning software is really easy to use, it has autotune, customizable maps and they bring lots of updates for it frequently. You can also have an Android tablet or a phone to view the ECU parameters on MDash software and dont need any extra gauges. You can also change the boost pressure and use virtual switches from MDash. I think there are dealer for it in the US nowadays.

I know the MaxxEcu can control the Supras stock automatic gearbox but at least on their webpage they suggest getting the Ofgear controller for the 722.6:

You can download the tuning software and the Porsche base map here so you can check it out:
