How much is this car worth?

Hi,

I am looking to buying a 2002 Porsche Turbo X50. I found one on ebay that is being sold by TruSpeed Motorcars in Costa Mesa California. This is the exact color combo I want and has about 95% of the options I am looking for. My question is how much is this car worth? Thanks

-John

It might help if you gave us the specifics on the car, one of the most important being the mileage.

How many miles on it? Color?

A Good estimate IMO would be between 70k-85k depending on certain things

worth??

A car is worth what someone will pay for it. Last month I purchased an '02 tt with similar mileage without the x50 package. I bought it from a dealer, so I had to pay his markup. I did get the Porsche Certification worth an extra $2500. I paid 81000. Low Book on the car is 76000. Your dealer could have taken that car in at 74 or 75000. So, figure an extra $6000 or $7000 for the x50 and you have the neighborhood of 85000 or 86000 plus or minus a few.

That is true. I found an X50 on ebay a while ago that was a Artic Silver on Black, I don't remember the options, but it had 18k miles and was going for 80k flat. The only downside was that the rims were dipped in chrome.

Low 80's would be great. I am not too familar with Porsche's value market. I checked KBB on the exact car except they did not have an X50 option listed on their site and the same car they said is worth 86k? Is that true?

I looked at a 2002 k-16 car and it had 10k miles. This was at a porsche dealer. They were asking 99k! After talking a bit they came down to 89k, probably could have gotten them a bit lower. Dont know if this helps but I thought I would throw it out there.

80k would be a smokin deal but figure 90k is what they want.

99k for a 02!!?!!! Wow that is way overkill, dealer must of been smoking something, or whatever you were wearing that day made them assume you were loaded.

I will call the dealer tommorow and ask them how much their reserve is set at. If it is 90k, that is too much for me, will have continue my long search.

Also I would like to ask if anyone here has driven both X50 and Non X50 (K16). I've only driven a non X50 as X50's are way to rare in my area. Is there a significant amount more power? Does the "Beefier" tranny feel the same? Thanks
