Restoring Hard Seatbacks
Restoring Hard Seatbacks
I was wondering if anyone knows a way to restore these seatbacks.
I have sport seats in my TT Cab with rubber coated seatbacks that are damaged.
I'd like to restore them and I'm pretty open about it, same seats, anything on the back, same rubber, leather, vinyl, paint them body color.
Other than this the seats are in excellent condition.
I am having a hard time finding anyone that can do it and I am not a DIYer.
Any feedback would help.

Thanks.

That rubberized coating needs to be removed, few diff ways to do this, and either prepped and painted body color (i would do this all day) or less intensive route would be to be resprayed with the rubberized coating...but that will not protect it from happening again.. paint and a layer of clear will....and will look a billion times better

Yes, I agree with you. But so far I have not been able to find even one place that can or is willing to do it.
Hopefully someone can make a recommendation for a place in my area or within driving distance that can do it.
