help, HRE wheels spotted up after rain...please read inside

I had my Z8 out two days ago and it got rained on. I drove my other car yesterday and today took my Z8 back out. I immmediately washed the car and was horrified when I saw the wheels all spotted....How could rain leave those spots on the wheels and how do I get rid of them....I tried waxing the wheels and also tried blue magic aluminum polish....nothing is working WTF.....help...

Try Simichrome - available at most any Harley Davidson dealership.

Nope - I had the same issue on my HRE's and the Simichrome took the spot off. It'll take some elbow grease if they are set in pretty bad though.

I had the same problem on a set of amg's with custom polished lip. Only thing that worked was Mothers wheel polish. You wet your rims with cold water and polish the rims with a clean cloth. Some spots will require hard rubbing. It's a PITA!

Simichrome is it...also recommended by HRE! After you get them all clean, make sure you seal them...I use PoorBoys wheel sealant!

Vinegar and water works pretty good on water spots. 50/50 solution.

Acid rain. Make sure to wax your wheels in the future to help prevent that.

Second that on the Mothers, but make sure that it is the Billet Metal Polish:

I have also found that Flitz works VERY well, also:
