I thought you would say that Budman....One problem...There is a size limitation of 6'5" 235lbs for those cars and I am 7'2" 375..

Actually, I am 6'7" 225...I wonder if those two inches would disqualify me??? That would really suck....

Hey I am 5ft 2 and 450 lbs and they found one to fit me!

JK

Actually call them but they have different size cars for different body styles and then they have multiple seat adjustments in each different style car.

I think they will find one to fit.

driving school at skippy entails driving dodge neon's and no track lapping....arghhh. If I go that route, I would be better off at the PDE driving C2's

My advice would be to do a 3 day race school in a proper race car over a drivng school in a street car. After 3 days in a formula car, everything will seem to happen in slow motion in your street car on the track. You will learn to control the car via weight transfer rapidly in a formula car. These lessons translate very nicely into driving a 911.
Prepare for the bite of the the race car bug though. Picked up a formula mazda (1100lb, 180hp) yesterday. Roughly the same power to weight ratio as my modded turbo, but about 10 seconds a lap faster around the local road course (1:18 vs 1:28).

Without a doubt I would suggest the Panoz Racing School. They use purpose built cars, hands on instruction, classroom instruction, lead follow sessions, SCCA licensing, and they use the best tracks. I have done the three day beginner class at Road Atlanta and the two day advanced at Sebring.

Thanks Max, the 3-day Panoz is looking good @ Road Atlanta...The GT-RA
cars look like a better fit...Gt style car vs. open wheel car...That's more in line with what I'm looking for and it looks like I can fit in the car....plus it's $550 less than skippy school...

That is exactly why the Panoz school was so appealing to me. Sure the open wheel cars are fun, but I am more into the GT racing. As far as fitting into the car... look for the cars with the higher numbers.
