Need Help with Check engine light

Hey guys, I had a freak thing occur to me while driving about 20mph, the plastic clip that holds the tail light wires on the passenger side of car snapped off and hit the belt. CEL came on and there is a tear in the belt and the outer edce is torn off.

Any advise would be appreciated . I am worried about engine damage and cost of replacing the belt. Car is 2002tt with 4000 miles never had any problems but I am worried that the warranty may have expired a few weeks ago. Thanks to everyone in advance.

Wow I had that happen to me last week. Luckily it did hit the belt. I better go tighten it up now. Good luck
