Has anyone seen one of these valves go bad intermittently? If it did, would it intermittently limit boost to .4 bar without causing a CEL? Is there any way to test it other than replacing it? Thanks - need info for Buck80

Not exactly sure what a boost pressure timing valve is, are you talking about diverter valves?

Yes, I have seen them go bad. They will eventually throw a code if it continues to happen. Any error that would close the throttle body will throw a code immediately if not in time. The valve can be tested with the PST2

 

Its another fancy name for a boost controller.... BTW- thats exactly the part u disconnect to hook up a Electronic boost controller like a Greddy...
that way u have controll over ur boost...
