2003 996 Turbo Offset Questions

I am looking at putting some aftermarket wheels on, what are the offset for teh 996 Turbo?

One of the wheels I amlooking at has the following offset: 52MM-F, 52MM-R. Will this work on a 2003 Turb without spacers?

8" x 18" - ET50
11" x 18" - ET45
You need to check the width of the wheels as well.

The rears will probably rub on the inside.

How wide of a tire can I go without rubbing. I have 295's right now and I dont think they are wide enoug. Will 305's or even 315's work without to much rub?

It depends on the width of the wheels. If they are 11s they will not rub, otherwise Ebaker is right.
You can go with 315s, the tire size is not the real issue.

Ok - thanks for the help. What if I went with 8.5 Fronts and 10's on the back. What tires should I lookinto getting: 305's?

With 10" wide wheels you should not go beyond 285 tires.

295s would be a stretch and not recommended, because the wheel is too narrow for a proper fit of the sidewalls.. If the wheels are 10" wide and have offsets of 52mm, you have the wrong wheels for the car. You can always fix it with a spacer, but why go this route.

back should be 11.5 or 12 if you want to run a 315 and there will be no rubbing (GT2 setup). 11's are ok if just for street and show stuff.

I would avoiod 10" rear wheels, these cars need as much rear tire as possible. 315/30-18's fit on stock 11' wheels OK. On my car the inside clearance is close but doesn't rub.
