Evo Stage 4 question: boost
octane levels have nothing to do with boost levels when it comes to GIAC.... Stephen is correct....
The only way to increase the boost is via a boost controller, like on any car... or just manually adjust the nuts on the springs...

Can you increase the wastegate boost without updating the software accordignly? Is it safe? I'm getting .9 bars on chipped X-50 but am worried about increasing boost without corresponding software revision.

well if u have k24s already... dont u have already have like a stage 4 ecu from GIAC. u said its chipped. with what? by whom?
heres the problem... stock k24s run out of steam at 550 hp and dont produce any power after 1.2 bars... and most guys, and there is a current running thread : https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...ad.php?t=48214
where some dont even sustain more then 1.1 bars on k24s...
maybe a small WG adjustment is needed... but someone has to point that out- and you get an extra 60 HP for free. there is a major difference between 1 bar sustained and 1.2 bars sustained...
just my opinion... and not geared towards any particular tuner...
I had three and they all were the same... IE. same approach...
