Seeking advice on 996TT performance brake pads...
SubscribeEBC redstuff...carbon, new version...been fine for me at DE's and on the street. Not too much dust. Quiet. NO rotor abuse... Not for a red/black kind of driver probably.

Thanks a lot!

I had the Pagid yellows up front and blacks in rear too. with the Castrol SRF fluid. Stopped like a ****, but the noise started to wear on me. Just too loud, and combined with the LWFW racket it sounded less like a racecar and more like a hooptie.

So you arent having insane squeeking with the yellows? Its so loud that its pretty embarrassing for me to stop at lights. Originally Posted by landjet

Padgids all the way.
If you don't track your car, don't buy race pads. They squeal. OEM pads are quiet and have great bite for street use.
It doesn't bother me what other motorists think of my squealing brakes at 5 mph. It's what I think of my life when I'm braking from 140 mph that I'm concerned about. The reason I use race pads is their reliability under repeated heavy demand, plus the yellows are an endurance pad and last longer.
