My Porsche mechanic said to put in 8qts start and check. Fill to appropriate
mark. 9-10qts total for oil change.

Engine oil quantity Approx. 12.5
change quantity 8.5 l (~9 qts) with filter change 8.75 l
The oil change quantity (without oil filter change) is approx. 7.8 litres after a dripping time of 20 minutes add until all 7 bars lit.

I believe each bar = .25 l (~.26 qt)

If you drain the turbos....good idea to prime the oil filter before you start up (also remove the fuel pump fuse #3)

As you know the most damage done to an oil lubricated system is when the system is starved from oil...(e.g., start-up). When you drain the oil from the system and the turbos....when you first start-up, guess what...no lubrication. So the priming of the oil filter is to get the oil into the system quicker. You pull the fuse to the fuel pump to force the oil into the system and turbos without the car starting.

When I drained the oil in the turbo’s oil tanks only ¼ of a quart was present. I added ¼ of a quart into the oil filter reservoir. Also, make sure you buy the extra oil filter “O ring” because it only comes with one (the large one).

Start with 8 and fill it up with the 9th. After the 9th, my indicator showed 3/4. It is about 3-4 bar/qt
