Hard Rubber Motor Mounts

Hi All,

Has anyone tried installing the hard rubber motor mounts on their car ? Was there a difference in driving , shifting etc.
Would it make a difference on a tip. car ?

I have them on mine. Had the mounts installed before I took delivery on the car. They do make a difference and you'll notice the following:
1. The car will feel stiffer.
2. Exhaust sound would get louder. (can't explain this but I did this mod on both my turbos and it got louder on both)
3. Feels better on the track.

I never drag raced my car, not my thing I suppose. But you'll notice that the engine doesn't move quite as much is stock ones do. Usually, you'll see the exhaust tips bouncing around.

This is a simple and in-expensive mod. If you've got more power and harder suspension, you owe to your car to add it. It comes as standard with the X73 factory sport coilovers so that's saying something.

no real gains. just the increase in noise and vibration will increase resonance though out the cabin. steering wheels stick shifter pedals etc... not really worth it. unless you want it, in that case might as well just get a GT2/3.

the amount of deflection between the two motor mounts is slight, go with a true solid mount if you are looking for real performance gains.
