just finished..

lots of grinding to get the casting seams out but i think it was worth it . Just need to hit it with a little polish for that mirror look. What do you guys think? it would look nice with some silicone hoses i think.

Is this the stock piece that has been polished? Did you do any work on the inside?

thats stock.... why didnt u just make one with larger diameter(2.5 inches vs. 2.0 inches) and go hard piping all the way to the ICs.... no popping off of hoses....
either way, nice work

Rico; I did my "Y" pipe with a powder coating exterior but didn't polish it. The interior I did with "Extrude Hone" a company in Paramount. California. They use an abrasive slurry to polish the inner diameter of various items. The Inner Diameter came out very nicely.

Did the extrude honing help? I did the same to a Mustang intake many moons ago and it was a huge difference.

Seriously... I would consider extrude honing that YPipe and maybe having some heat reflective coating baked onto the outside if it made any difference.
