Will I notice the power or sound on a stage 2 car? Or is it more of a knowledge that it dynoed around 30 more horespower?

 

We dynoed it on our AWD dyno and picked up on a stock car 15HP and 15TQ to the wheels. That is not a weak number by any standards.

 

Stephen, with all the controversy about these things do you go on record as definitely recommending to your customers to get one??

 

You know I went through the same discussions with the 930s. My response is always the same, what do I have on my 930? The same air box I have sold for 10 years, what do I have on my Twin? The air box I am supporting now.

Since I drive my car daily in the snow, heat and rain I do recommend it. If it passes my test then it is good enough for you. So yes, I do recommend it. Why, because it works! I like many am amazed it gets what it does. I have no issues with it. In fact just got back from taking the family on a 4 hour trip in it.

 

My experience echos Stephen on this. I installed one of the first ones over a year ago. I have used it for almost 20,000 miles, all weather conditions, stage 2 car. I have not had a single problem with it. It works great. The performance improvement was immediately noticeable and I enjoy it every day.

Stephen, what are the approximate gains on a stage 2 (exhaust/ECU/K16's) car?

How about approximate gains on a stage 4 with K16/24 hybrids/exhaust/ECU/ported-polished headers?

 

I have the V-flow and Eurpipes and just dynoed 474hp to the wheels. I did clean the filter (oiled) and since no cels.

We pulled 20 something on the stage 4. I don't have the dyno here at home. I can get it in the morning.

Isn't evo intake = MAF eater

 

If it is then I am pretty lucky because I have gone well over 25K miles without issue. There are MAF problems in general modified or not.

That's a nice power increase for just an intake on a Stage 2...

 

I was floored. We ran the dyno a dozen times to confirm. I about fell on the floor.

 

Putting mine in this weekend. It looks like a fairly straight forward install. I'll let you know if I run into any issues but i suspect not.

 

Just ordered mine due to this thread.... I'm starting to hate 6-speed

 

have had mine for about a year cleaned my maf once 7 months ago .... not a prob. i do however keep a can of elec cleaner in the trunk justin case... only a 5min job to clean and replace
