Short Shifter

Saturday, we some of us met at Eurospeed, Erik shared how happy he was with the new short shifter he had installed. What a difference with the travel.

I am considering changing to a B&M, any suggestions......like should I go with a Techart or other manufacturer over the B&M. The local Porsche dealer in Miami uses B&M.

I have the B&M and it is much quicker and more reponsive than factory for sure. There is a little more effort involved but it is worth it! I got mine from Forgien Affairs for around $240 shipped. The labor was a few hours.

B&M here...Are you getting the in-car B&M or under tranny version? Porsche now offers the in-car as an option...I have the in-car and will add the under car for a super short shift

GO with the B&M for the top AND the Techart on the bottom.
more costly, but better results. cables below are also protected from extra stress.
215 b&m and 645 for the techart one.
good luck

I have mine set up with the B&M on the top and techart at the transmission. It is pretty notchy feeling, but I got used to it and like it much better than stock.

I have a Porsche OEM short shift and love it. I believe B&M makes the OEM ss.

May sound like a stupid question, but the only reason I have not yet done a B&M in my car is because I was told it will affect warranty should a tranny problem arise. I know you guys have so many mods that the warranty is a none issue, but is this true?

my dealer has no problem with B&M...they sell and install it...should be less of a problem now that Porsche came out with one that looks the SAME!!
I am going to add under car B&M (same as techart for a lot less) to my in-car and will let you know how it is.
