Radio Interference
Radio Interference
I need help from someone with better electrical knowledge than me.
I hardwared the Remote for my Valentine 1 and used a switched terminal in an unused black plug behind the electric heater switches (below the radio). Well, Valentine works great but I get interference on AM (yes, some people do use AM). I tried to take a lead from the fuse box but all fuses are live even without the key (switching must be after the fuse.)
Is there another switched wire I can use easily or is there a filter I can use to remove the AM static?

I had no interference before the install. I used to use the cigarette lighter but I did move the mount from the bottom to the top of the windshield. Does anyone know where the windshield antenna is located?
Not RFI
Try plugging the V1 into the lighter again and the AM interference will probably go away! If I was a bettin' man I would bet the issue is a conducted problem on the new DC bus, as opposed to a radiated issue!
