Tom, it pops in like the stock air box. I have no idea about individual pricing. He said it is a must for his 3A and certainly 3B kits, otherwise he cannot get the airflow needed. Just one part of the larger kit. This airbox is part of his new MAF solution for his high HP setups that wont be eating MAF's...Kevin

still seems like a solution for the rest of us with more mortal cars. I wonder if any data on just the air box set up with respect to hp increases for cars under 600hp? ie, would it be worth it for me, cause seems like the correct set up.
Well I will wait and see if it becomes available, thanks for the info.

I think this has the potential to be a good low bucks solution. I recently bought an air box with the top cut out (still has the sides on it, unlike yours) and I think this would help keep hot air out of the box as long as the car is over say 30 mph. The velocity of the incoming cold air should act as a buffer keeping hot air away.

Good Job!

The CF unit is VERY nice! But, as Tom said what level is this necessary? Has anyone modded a stock unit and added ducting to it?

Stay tuned, I have a left-side 997 air duct coming this week. A few pop rivets and some dremel action, and it should fit nicely.

Very interesting, I was thinking the same thing but wasnt sure there was enough room for it as the one side is quite thin. Make sure you keep us up to date with the outcome.

Bad news - the parts guy at Porsche West London just got back to me and says there's no stock left in GB or Germany. Long wait...

Looks like I'll have to source from the US...
