WHy? casue u have to drop the engine to install. one should do it when changing the clutch.
Must agree on intial analysis. Just the amount of materials removed from the engine bay that are replaced by the intake plenum is amazing. Two cast aluminum pieces and several hoses. I know it is a PIA to do this though.

I think thats crazy. why would anyone want to put an air box on a car that is already MAF sensitive if the tuning program he has was not tuned for it. how is the ecu going to understand the extra info(air).
And IM not saying anything that its the tuners fault... cause its not... they dont make u buy a vflow with satge 2 program... we act like little kids buying everything that comes out... without reason and end goals...
Buy a kit that was tuned with all the parts on it... or a kit that can be tuned for what u already have...
I never had the vflow and never blew a single maf. I had 4 ecus and 3 different turbo kits...
Mark i feel what your saying. I wanted to do your turbo setup, but at the time the turbo was quick enough, then i got bored REAL fast, worked on other aspects of the car and now overall, dont think im keeping it much longer so dont want to trhow turbos and everything on and lose the money!

I might do a real good suspension setup to see how i like the car then, maybe take it from there with engine upgrades.

Just wanted to clarify those 2 things and make sure you weren't misguided!

Evan, in my simplistic method of thinking, this is what I came up with - ANY improvement in air-flow, either before or after the MAF = increased air-flow past the MAF. Make sense? I definately picked up at least 0.1 bar from the FVD intake. (That's a good thing!).

I hear ya, just wanted to let you know, its not the increased air causing issues with the MAF, it can handle it... Our plenum does pick up some boost as it is equal diameter throughout unlike the crappy stock unit which has some of the most restrictive bends you can imagine! This increase in boost does not effect the MAF at all as the entire unit is after it...
