PSS9 Question

I am considering changing out my stock suspension for the PSS9's . I was told that even if I set the PSS9's at its lowest setting (Lowest meaning best ride) it will still out handle my car in its stock trim. Is that true?

I just don't want it to ride very hard or low (keep in mind I have the factory 18" wheels) . But I want the flexiability to change the setting if I want to play at the track.

Suggestions, comments or advise would be appreciated.

orli930,
i have the ruf pss9 on my car, ride is a lot better then stock, smooth ride when set at higher numbers with no front end lift like the stockers, set it at low number and it just hugs the road. if you get up north a little you can take a look at mine.

Sporters,

Let me know I would like to see your car. I will drive north to Boca. No problem.

I have mine set at 4 front and back. Less harsh than the stock suspension. Dropped the car in front 3/4 of an inch. 1 degree nose down.

Orli,

You swore you would not lower your car! There goes that beautiful aerokit front spoiler!

I also have the RUF PSS-9s...I concur with the other PSS-9s..that even at settings of 3 & 4, the ride is much more complaint compared to the stock. I just got a chance to drive an '04 TT cab and I was suprised how rough it rode for a stock car. I went as far to checking the tire pressure and it was actually on the low side of 34/37 from the rec. 36/44.

I say go for it and at least lower it an inch to RoW height...

Just curious, I know that you have to re-align your car whenever you change your suspension out (and height when you have coilovers)- do you have to re-align your car when you change the stiffness of your shocks and/or spring rates?

Eric,

I know but I drove a TT with the PSS9 yesterday and it handled great.

What is the least amount the car would be lowered? If I am going to have this problem with the Aerokit........Forget it.

If you just change the firmness settings, you do not have to realign the car.

If I'm not mistaken and when I was playing around with my heights, you can actually match the stock heights...Sound correct, those with PSS9s?
