Glad you liked it Mexico!!!"

Here are the lap times that you mentioned, these are for the Ring:
Porsche 997 carrera S: 7:59
Porsche 996 Turbo: 7:56
The following 997 variants are not out yet, GT2, GT3RS, Turbo S.
The new turbo is out however, i have no times for that car. I am sure it wil beat the 996TT around the ring. i forgot about it when i wrote the original comment.

hey dont get me wrong once or twice the navi has helped out...and my girl LOVES the heated seats...but for me personally and same with a few other people i know i would rather have Porsche spend more money on the AIR FLOW of my TT then how to incorporate heated seats and the likes with my car....
I wonder how different the forum discussions were when the 996 was first produced? I bet the 993 folks were having very similar conversations about the 996.
I like to keep in mind no matter what Imay be driving, there is someone faster/better. One day I will do a write up on how all of us mega 400+hp NSX guys were flying around the track, only to be lapped by a well know pro in his rental. Yep, a humbling experience.
There definately are allot of posers in the world, be it professional, car etc...although I have had my share of cool cars, they were always for the experience, not the badge. But then again, I checked my ego at the door a long time ago.

There is absolutely no question here. My uncle has a C4S and I have an 997S. I drive his car all the time and I have to tell you that the difference is gigantic. I understand youre going for the base 997 but it is still leaps and bounds a better car than the 996. I dont care much for the bragging rights of 996tt owners. True it is faster but it is a lesser car in every other aspect. Kind of like a corvette. The 997 is one of a kind and is Porsches tour de force.
