big time former ricer here:

was formerly a specialized engine and chassis builder for hondas

we must have had at least 10 different old late 80s/early 90s civic/crxs, integras, etc...

Please don't be offended by anything posted in there; I don't think anyone really dislikes you because you have a nice car. I certainly don't. Oh.. and sorry about the 'Sausagers' remark. Just seemed to fit. No disrespect meant.

My thoughts exactly. I think some of you guys took it too seriously. If anybody wants to quote me no problem but please make sure you quote everything. I saw my "I hate rich **** " post quoted couple of times on this board. Problem is my "I hate rich ****" comment was followed by <<<this guy...I was JOKING
I love Porsche btw.....I hate you guys

It does. It tows like 10K lb. The trailer, equipment and car are really, really heavy too - more than 7.5K together.

But, man, would I love to drive the Cayenne as my beater! I wonder if it could be modded to pull 10K?

P.S. I too belong to rice-a-holics annonymous. Former owner of:

71 Z car (former racecar)
78 Z car (former autocross car)
81 RX7 (former racecar)
85 RX7 (former racecar)
86 RX7
87 RX7 turbo
90 300 ZXTT
93 RX7 TT
97 Acura GSR (former racecar)

P.S.S. Now a "sausager" (two) with a fat *** bling mobile winter beater (please don't post this on the Ford truck forum ) and one remaining ricer (RX330 for the wife). And, finally, my older step children are ricers too (Mazdas).

I didn't read alot of venom in the posts. If anything, those guys seemed to acknowledge the insanity of owning a high performance car in a day and age when driving fast on the street is tolerated about as much as child molestation.
I have rarely met a young car enthusiast who copped an attitude to any of the exotics i've owned. Granted, not all of the "rice" you see is truly high performance, but the ones that are come from the same spirit that drove the hot rod era in the US in the post WW2 period; young guys, not a ton of money, working with what they have, and making their cars "individual." Pretty ironic if someday, on a trip to the Petersen, we see a retrospective displaying these cars.
