I have to agree that the M6 does not have the looks I'd expect from a sub $100K sports car. I honestly think the car is plain ugly. But performance, and I'm sure driving experience wise, it's an A+.I just hope the upcoming M3 looks better than the M6 as I have a deposit on one.
Once you fist get all the setting to what you want they can be saved for m drive. That is the button on the steering wheel. This way all you have to do is push the gear lever forward and hold it there. Then you just hold the throttle at the ground. When you let go, it launches the car perfectly.

Just like they made fun of the Vette for having "leaf springs". The Vette has a trasverse mounted composite leaf spring. Nothing at all like the leaf springs from the 60s and 70s.
Their shows are cool, but they are pretty arrogant and ignorant at times. I expect more from professional car guys.

In alot of Gustav's testing the outcomes were nowhere near what i or anyone expected, i really am not a believer in them!
From what I was told; if you activate the launch control too many times, the dealer can tell and will void your warranty. Can any new M owners tell me if this is true?

That M6 video is pretty old. That's probably a bone stock K16 TT. Don't you fully expect a 420 HP (with 5% loss due to AWD) car to lose to a 505 HP car?
The truth is that most of our chipped cars will handily out-accelerate an M6.

Ofcourse its relevant, a thread on a 996tt forum showing a mockery of the M6's performance.
Just ignore him, Martin. He's not worth your time.
I dont believe these videos one bit. From real world testing and times, the 2 are close at 100mph, but by the 1/4 mile there a big difference (12.0-1 to 12.4) 996tt/m6!

Guys, the M6 was faster than my turbo S on a roll. A close friend has one and he pulled around a car and half's length. I drove his car before so I was expecting this outcome. My car's stock but is no slouch. I easily pulled on an AMG E55 a few months ago.
What I didn't like about the M6 was the heavy feel it had compared to even a heavy weight like the turbo. Otherwise, it's one heck of a car and I have alot of respect for it.

I never ever said the 996tt was the fastest thing ever and if you can tell , i never said from a roll. In ever category of performance that magazines test, i know not real life but the best people can pull out of the car, a stock 996tt is a bit quicker except maybe to 100, where as the M6 is 8.9 and the 996tt is 9.1 or so, x50 being under 9. From a roll its a given, but i dont mean anywhere near 10 cl's, a few is more accurate, maybe as much as 3 but then i doubt it, it wont be neck at neck either unless from a dead stop like i said, where the 996tt non x50 is clearly length's in front of the M6, and its hard to make that distance up from 12.0-1 to a 12.4-+ !
