People will ague forever about Drivetrain loss percentages. I wonder why because we are talking about Chassis dynos... We dont use engine dynos. On our Chassis dyno this car made 323whp and with the mods it made 430whp. Thats 107whp gain. Thats the delta that we added to this car. The most important thing is that around 4500 rpm we added 170 ft lbs of trq! If Crank hp numbers are for some reason important to you add the delta gained to the Factory rating of the car. Any way you do the math this car is over 500 crank hp.

Let me give you a hint...Stage 4 cars (using K24's and making 600 HP) normally trap 124-125.
scott u had a freak run... thats was crazy... I never got 126 mph with k24s and starge4.. clutch, intakes... etc.. granted I did it on hot days... u were doen at 55 degrees or something... but still thats crazy... especially on stock k16s...

I also hammered an X50 car much worse than I should have for only making 500HP (vid below). My point is, K16's can maker a lot more power than people think, it just depends on the car. My car was definitely in the 600 hp range at that time...for whatever reason.

How much does a full weight 996TT with driver (say 150 to 200 pounds) weigh? My guess is a minimum of 3650 pounds? 126 MPH 1/4 mile trapspeed and 126 MPH is about 570 crank HP, however those HP calculator don't assume AWD type drivetrain loss, so my guess is that to do 126 MPH in a full weight 996TT it will take about 600 HP to the flywheel.......

I weigh about 200 lbs with my helmet on.

But on that particular day, in those perfect conditions, at 1.1 BAR and on 100 octane fuel...those little K16's of mine were making some serious power:

By the way, all the HP calculators that say they calculate WHP are WRONG, these same calculators have been around for about 15 years (well before chassis dynos became popular) and at the time they said they calculated flywheel HP (they assume a certain drivetrain loss, my guess is ~15%). Somehow over the years tuners (probably to make their cars look better) have been quoting them as RWHP.
I don't find 600 HP to be unreasonable for the 996TT turbos maxed out as I'm sure they are larger than stock Supra turbos and those can make over 550+ HP to the crank MAXED out.
