Reverse Gear

Is reverse a tough gear to keep from stalling? When I back her into the garage up a slight grade and over the garage driveway lip, you really have to milk the throttle and clutch to keep her from stalling. Just trying to get an idea if everone else has experienced this. My Gt3 was tough to back into the garage too. It just seems the 2 is a little more difficult. Different clutches maybe? Just for the record, I haven't stalled her yet.

But, I did hit the rev limiter pretty bad yesterday shifting into third. I've got to get used to the quicker gear shifts. Stock, this is the fastest thing I have ever driven. 0 to 100 and beyond is really a thrill. She get's up to 140 much quicker than the Gt3. I had a blast driving her yesterday.

I also didn't notice before, but if you don't set the alarm, after you shut the door and the interior/gauges lights go out, there is a tiny light under the rear view mirror, the lights on the hood and deck lid release, and the light for the side mirrors control, stay on for a couple of hours. I never noticed that before. The manual says this is normal.

in a lot of cars, reverse is usually a bit shorter in gearing than 1st gear.

I have the GT2 clutch in my TT and it's more difficult to manage, but grabs like hell!! You'll get used to it...

Never had a problem with reverse, or stalling in any fashion.
Did you get over "sluggish" concern that you had before you bought it?

Sorry, just doing research and found this old thread. I read in the manual that the reverse gear is taller than 1st. I to have a somewhat steep incline to back up and have to really keep the RPMs up to keep from stalling.

Why would reverse need to be taller than 1st? Just curious...
