Neophyte question re: AWD/PSM
OK, I have a new 6-speed Porsche Turbo, but I admit, I don't know what I'm doing! Well, that's an exaggeration, but I have a lot to learn.
Here's my question. When I make a really sharp/fast turn, and slide a bit, there's a serious rattle throughout the whole car and I kind of bump along the ground until I stabilize. I think it's the PSM engaging the AWD, but I'm not sure I'm right. Am I? Is that normal?
Thanks!

look for the psm light on the dash, it flickers and then solidly lights up when it is engaged. You are describing the PSM. A good way to prove it to yourself is to go to a wet parking lot and perform the move with and without PSM on. Look out for the curbs. A little known tidbit is that some of the cars will default if the wheels leave the ground. The ABS will shut off and the ABS light will stay on. You have to turn the car off then on to reset the ABS. One company is selling a reset switch if it happens to you on the track and you don't want to recycle the ignition.
