I would like to ask a few 60-130 run questions to you experts..
I live in NZ,an islandish country..Hard to find many long straight lanes to do the 60-130..Only 1 local race track,it come with a 5% incline long straight whichs totally not suitable for 60-130..The best road I can find still 3% incline..I can't even find any flat 0% one..All incline..You might wanne ask why not just turn back opposite then you get a decline road,No!!People here built highway long straight with both side incline!!
My question is if I run 60-130 on a 3% incline, will my time much much slower than those 2% decline run?
Another question is my car has nothing done to the handle, all the wheel, tires, coils , springs, struts, sways are stock one.Do these effect the 60-130 time much?Or suspension system not really important for straight lane accle ?
Last question is what is the best time to shift? My 997tt's cutline now at 7200rpm,should I change gear at around 6800-7000 or even earlier?
Thanks.

Not as neutral as a level stretch, but it will give you a decent idea how the car runs.
All things being equal, a less steep 2% incline would not improve the time by much, maybe a tenth or so.
Cumulatively, going from a 3% incline to a 2% decline would make a noticeable difference.
Suspension mods should not have any effect on your run, unless it is so stiff that it just spins because there is absolutely NO weight transfer.
Regarding shifts, best to try a few runs to find the sweet spot for your car.
I'd say shifting a bit higher-within your true power band-should be the best.
Over revving won't help.
Short shifting may hurt your times.
Corey, I forgot to ask the temp, DA and the track quality. These factors have a lot to do with times and performance. You need to get your 60ft b/n 1.6-1.8 then you have a 10s pass for sure. Trap speed will not change much.
the track was horrible they dont glue it like they do on event days and my buddy with his stock Z06 with exuast work was spinning the tires till the 660 mark!
That was at 1.4 bar and juust under 3/4 tank full.(yea I know) so i am sure there is still more in it
63 degrees is great for the turbos. Tire and traction bro. If track is not clean and not maintainted well forget about it. Give it about one hour on the track and that's the time to hit it. Ground is hot and tires will be stickier, just my 2 cents. I am looking forward to your 10s run bro.
Choose a nice time at mid-night and run it backwards
No just kidding. Well you gotta do your best there. Dyno your car and find out the peak HP and TQ. You will learn what your car asks you then you will shift closer to those ranges. Answers are not easy to find, gotta practice borther. All these people on these forum are trying to do what you are trying also. Find an empty spot and practice. Learn from mistakes, we've been there.

Thanks Art, I know I was going to go back out again but someone broke on the track and they had to do a clean up and by then it was getting late and cold and the track wasn't there again, Don't worry i am going back out very SOON !!
On Another note My Buddy with his SLR the same day just 2 mins before me ran a BLISTERING 11.08 @129 in his SLR !! Stock with just a Pulley upgrade! I think he has the fastest SLR around for not being a Renntech upgrade

Well, very roughly a stock 996 turbo will do 60-130 in ~12.2s. To go under 10s I needed a flash and exhaust. These full weight "stage 2" cars generally run 9.4-9.7s and have 510-540 crank hp on k-16s.
